"Strategic ways of erasing the past are part and parcel of designs to place one group above others. Jason Stanley's lecture ""Erasing History: Colonialism"" will discuss two educational practices of colonialism - where one presents the perspective of one group as having a history while erasing the history of another group being colonized.
Jason Stanley is an American philosopher, professor of philosophy at Yale University, author of the books ""How Propaganda Works"" and ""How Fascism Works"". He writes for leading American publications and conducts research with Timothy Snyder comparing the history of the Gulag with mass incarceration in the United States."
