Department of Mathematics

With the support of partners and donors, the Kyiv School of Economics is establishing the leading Department of pure, applied and physical mathematics in Ukraine and in the region of Eastern Europe

Our mission is to nurture world-class talent through high-level instruction and research in mathematics and physics, and to advance the frontiers of knowledge in the fundamental sciences.
Having successfully launched its first undergraduate program in applied mathematics in 2023, KSE plans to significantly strengthen the Department’s faculty in Kyiv over the next few years. The current call for Simons Professor positions at our Department is open until November 30.

Our Department offers undergraduate, master's, and PhD programs in the mathematical sciences. The International Centre for Mathematics in Ukraine (ICMU) is located on the KSE campus. We collaborate with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and leading mathematical research centers worldwide.
