"Russian aggression in 2014, followed by a full-scale invasion in 2022, led to massive traumatization of a large part of the Ukrainian population. At a minimum, 20% of the population has been injured, although the true numbers may be much higher.
Arts, culture and education play an important role in finding new ways to respond to the trauma of war. There are numerous examples of successful, industry-defining work. This work is already having a significant impact on how Ukraine responds to the war.
We invite you to join the Summer School, which aims to consolidate and expand our understanding of these methods through the lens of trauma-informed practice.
The summer school will be held in the format of an interactive workshop with the participation of facilitator Revaz Tateishvili, and will be recorded in the format of a key note by journalist Olga Vasina. The program will include a series of lectures by Ukrainian and international experts, seminar discussions, practical workshops, field trips and reports.
WARNING! Registration for the summer school is complete! In the near future, all participants will receive letters confirming their further participation in the event. The summer school was created on the initiative of the Art therapy force project, in partnership and with the financial support of the Kyiv School of Economics, the NGO ""ART DOT"", Opera Circus and King's College LondonThis was made possible thanks to the collaboration and support of Professor Nigel Osborne, The Human Hive, Innovation for Wellbeing, Christopher Bailey, Head of the World Health Organization Arts and Health Program and the British Council.
