About event:
Funding, including international support, plays a key role in Ukraine’s recovery.
However, a purely utilitarian approach risks reducing this process to merely the physical reconstruction of damaged buildings and infrastructure.
Initiated by UNITAC Hamburg and the Kyiv School of Economics, this conference aims to foster a shared understanding of urban recovery—driven by data and digital technologies while remaining sensitive to intangible aspects such as individual and collective identity, dignity, equality, and democracy.
The conference will take place on February 19 in Kyiv and on February 20 in Hamburg. It seeks to critically examine the role of innovative digital tools and international approaches in rebuilding Ukrainian cities and communities.
📍 The conference will be held simultaneously in Kyiv and Hamburg, with an online broadcast available.
