ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Master's Program in Urban Studies and Postwar Reconstruction (URB) is suitable for anyone who wants to build a career in urban development or expand their existing knowledge and join the joint recovery of Ukrainian cities affected by Russian aggression, and the construction of a new urban ecosystem.
URB offers an interdisciplinary approach with an emphasis on management skills that allows graduates to view the city as a complex and multilayered phenomenon - the most challenging, long-term and sustainable project in human history. This unique approach helps graduates develop a deep understanding of the city and its people, the ability to challenge traditions without destroying them, and the ability to see and create opportunities in challenges and crises.
URB focuses on developing not only hard and soft skills, but, above all, values. Value-based approach encourages graduates to challenge traditions, dream big, build visions, and structure the future. Graduates will learn to identify and solve complex problems and challenges in urban development, develop a strategic plan commissioned by the city authorities, and present research results convincingly, both orally and in the form of a written report and data visualization. These skills and values are critical for graduates who want to become effective leaders in their chosen field.
