The International Workshop on Advances in Autonomous and Intelligent Systems (AAIS 2026) is an in-person event that will be held at the KSE Engineering School of University “Kyiv School of Economics” in Kyiv during December 1-2, 2026
During the last decade, Autonomous and Intelligent Systems have experienced rapid development driven by significant advances in hardware performance, miniaturization, and reduced power consumption. These technological achievements have accelerated progress in robotics, autonomous vehicles, and intelligent control systems across a wide range of civil and industrial applications.
The war in Ukraine has further emphasized the critical importance of unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned ground robotic systems not only for defense purposes, but also for humanitarian and civilian missions such as search and rescue, medical support, surveillance, demining, logistics, infrastructure inspection, and precision agriculture. The growing complexity of modern autonomous platforms requires new approaches in artificial intelligence, navigation, perception, communication, and human-machine interaction.
The AAIS Workshop aims to bring together leading researchers, developers, industry representatives, and academic institutions from Ukraine and the international community to exchange knowledge, share practical experience, and discuss innovative solutions for complex challenges in autonomous and intelligent systems engineering. The workshop provides a unique platform for fostering collaboration between academia and industry, promoting emerging technologies, and supporting the advancement of higher levels of autonomy, intelligence, safety, and reliability in robotic and automotive systems.
AIS also serves as an important venue for presenting cutting-edge research results, practical applications, and future trends in the rapidly evolving domains of robotics, autonomous transportation, and intelligent systems.

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, participants from regions with a high risk of missile attacks, as well as participants from foreign countries, are encouraged to join the workshop in a virtual format. The safety and well-being of all participants remain our highest priority. Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
The AAIS Workshop will use English as the official language for all conference materials, presentations, and discussions.

Submission
All submissions have to be made in DOC, PDF format using Virtual Submission System.
Workshop requires to submit only full papers with length from 10 to 20 full A5 pages in Englih, prepared according to the Word template and macros provided by LNNS.
Papers have to follow all requirements of LNNS rules.
Proceedings of AAIS workshop shall be submitted for publication in the Springer Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (LNNS) book series and planned to be indexed in vary of scientific databases.

English needs to be proofread
•
Only full papers are accepted (10-20 pages)
•
The paper should not have more than 5 co-authors recommended
•
Any plagiarism is not allowed, including self-plagiarism. All papers should be original
•
All figures have to be created by author and can not be copied from other sources
•
The references list should neither be too short nor too long without necessity. It is suggested that the references list be no more than 20-30 sources
•
The authors must use the results of international research in the references
•
References should mostly be recent, no more than ten years old
•
Self-citations should usually not exceed 25% of all references
•
Authors should not restrict references to a limited set of authors from their own institution. No more than 50% of citations should be from a single source
•
The paper must follow the formatting rules. Special attention to formatting style of the list of references
•
Text generated by using any language models is prohibited in the paper. Paper partially generated by using language models is going to be withdrawn from consideration, as it cannot be regarded as original scientific work. Papers will be checked for language models with specific software. Decision will be made based on level of probability of using language models. Automatic translation tools are also prohibited due to its probable use of language models, which will be detected in our validation tool. The exception to AI usage is only for automatic grammar-checking software. You could feel free to use any grammar or spelling assistant
