Discussion "Energy of change: history of success and struggle of Ukrainian civil society"

January 22 at 3:00 p.m

We invite you to talk about the energy of change, challenges and successes of Ukrainian civil society.
We present a course on the history of our civil society, which all Ukrainians should watch in order to remember our path to freedom in the perspective of the period of independence.
From February 24, 2022, the attention of the whole world was focused on Ukraine. Then organized civil society came to the aid of our army, which surprised foreigners and sometimes even Ukrainians themselves.
Why was Ukrainian society stable, self-organized and capable of effective resistance to a much greater threat? Why did Ukrainians unite, act, take to the streets from the beginning of the 1990s? What values were protected?

The event is organized by the Eastern Europe Fund in cooperation with the Ukrainian Institute and the Kyiv School of Economics within the framework of the "Phoenix" project with the financial support of the European Union.
