About the event
On 14 October, Tom Sanderson, a geopolitical risk consultant and former director of the Transnational Threats Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), will visit Kyiv School of Economics. He works closely with the US Department of State and the US Department of Defense on national security issues.
Currently, Tom Sanderson is a principal at Tom Sanderson Consulting, leading a multinational team that provides clients with geopolitical, terrorism and cross-border analysis services. His current work focuses on the Persian Gulf, China's threat to Taiwan, Russia's war against Ukraine, transnational crime, supply chain disruption, and great power conflict.
At the Kyiv School of Economics, Tom Sanderson will give a presentation on ‘Global Disruptive Forces’, which covers a number of global threats and trends: terrorism, Russia, China, climate change, artificial intelligence, cyberattacks, crime and corruption, etc. We will discuss various aspects of the present that have a significant impact on the development of countries and their governance.
