About event:
We are pleased to invite you to the Eighth Meeting of the Student Mathematical Seminar. The topic of the presentation is ‘Application of Gaussian numbers for solving one class of diophantine equations’
Have you ever used non-integer or even non-real numbers to solve certain problems in number theory? In this talk, we will look at examples of using Gaussian numbers to solve a particular type of equation in integers, where “conventional” methods do not yield good results.
A similar method can be applied to other classes of equations, so it will come in handy many times.
Even if you have just started your journey in higher mathematics, don't be afraid! The presentation is designed to be understandable for both beginners and more experienced students.
We invite students, teachers, and anyone who loves mathematics not only for the answers but also for the beauty of the solutions.
