About event:

We invite you to the scientific seminar “Application of de Bruijn graphs and graph neural networks in metagenomics”

At the seminar, we will discuss how modern mathematical tools help to reveal the secrets of the microcosm, namely, to study the communities of microorganisms that inhabit the environment.

The workshop will focus on the use of graphs as a tool for modeling and analyzing metagenomic data.

You will learn:
● how graph structures, in particular de Bruijn graphs, help to efficiently store and organize large amounts of sequencing data● what algorithms are used to process these data and what advantages the graph representation provides● how graph neural networks are used in biology to classify and interpret microbial communities;● how the combination of these approaches allows us to better understand the composition and functioning of microorganisms in the natural environment.
