What is the role of writers, poets, scientists and translators in the world context?
18.03 at 18:00 at KSE will discuss various aspects of translation and archiving of works of Ukrainian writers, how it affects the popularization of Ukrainian poetry and contributes to its preservation around the world.
Speakers will also focus on the role of scientists and translators in shaping the image of Ukrainian culture abroad and highlight strategies aimed at preserving and promoting Ukrainian literary heritage.
What will be:- Panel discussion on archiving and preservation of Ukrainian literature.- Public readings with the American translator Amelia Glazer moderated by Olena Huseynova.

Speakers:

Amelia Glazer is a professor at the Department of Literature at the University of California, an American literary critic, a specialist in the history of Jewish East European literature;
Iya Kiva is a Ukrainian poet, translator, member of the Ukrainian PEN and journalist. Her poems (translated into more than 30 languages), translations and reviews were published in domestic and foreign periodicals;
Olena Huseynova is a writer, poet, journalist, radio presenter of Radio Kultura, a member of the Ukrainian PEN.
