Memorial scholarship in honor of Yar Batog

Yar Batog - defender of Ukraine, commander of a reconnaissance group, awarded the ‘War Veteran’ badge, the Golden Cross, the Order for Courage, III Class, and the Order for Courage, II Class (posthumously)

Prior to the war, Yar Batoh was a researcher at the Kyiv School of Economics and headed the KSE StratBase centre, a member of the VoxCheck project, where he debunked fakes and manipulations by Ukrainian politicians; he was an analyst at the state-owned company Ukrenergo and worked with the World Bank.

The scholarship will be awarded to talented and ambitious master's students

SELECTION CONDITIONS AND CRITERIA

The scholarship will be awarded to one student in September for the entire period of study.

Students who plan to defend an English-language diploma on one of the topics that interested Jar: international relations, conflicts and wars, energy.

The candidate must be educated at the expense of individuals and legal entities and not receive grants or financial assistance from the KSE Foundation

High level of academic performance throughout the entire period of study.

Prepare an annotated outline of the desired thesis of up to 500 words in English

Fill out the form and attach the research proposal by 02.12.2024, 23:59

Pass the interview successfully

Participation in university and other events that contribute to the development of the scholarship.

Publish interim results of your thesis on Vox Ukraine

Provide information about your academic progress and projects carried out during the scholarship

Can I apply for multiple grants at the same time?
Yes, you can. To do this, you must fill out an application for each grant for which you are applying
Can I apply for a grant and a budget at the same time?
Yes, you can. If you receive a positive decision, you will need to choose: budget or grant
What does "Work in KSE projects" include?
"Work in KSE projects" may include:
● participation in projects aimed at developing the educational and scientific potential of KSE;
● acting as an assistant within the KSE group of companies or partner organizations;
● other forms of involvement aimed at developing the educational and scientific potential of the KSE group of companies and contributing to the development of the candidate's professional skills and abilities
