MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
IN HONOR OF YAR BATOG

Yar Batog - defender of Ukraine, commander of a reconnaissance group, awarded the ‘War Veteran’ badge, the Golden Cross, the Order for Courage, III Class, and the Order for Courage, II Class (posthumously)

Prior to the war, Yar Batoh was a researcher at the Kyiv School of Economics and headed the KSE StratBase centre, a member of the VoxCheck project, where he debunked fakes and manipulations by Ukrainian politicians; he was an analyst at the state-owned company Ukrenergo and worked with the World Bank.

The scholarship will be awarded to talented and ambitious master's students

SELECTION CONDITIONS AND CRITERIA

    Students who plan to defend an English-language diploma on one of the topics that interested Jar: international relations, conflicts and wars, energy.

    The candidate must be educated at the expense of individuals and legal entities and not receive grants or financial assistance from the KSE Foundation

    High level of academic performance throughout the entire period of study

    The right to receive a scholarship is granted only once during the entire period of study at the Private Institution “Kyiv School of Economics University” and does not provide for renewal.

SELECTION PROCESS

Prepare an annotated outline of the desired thesis of up to 500 words in English

Fill out the form and attach the research proposaldate to be announced late

Successfully pass an interview in English

Important: the annotated plan should include social relevance, contribution to the literature, impact on policy and society, data and research methods

    ● participation in projects aimed at developing the educational and scientific potential of KSE;
    ● acting as an assistant within the KSE group of companies or partner organizations;
    ● other forms of involvement aimed at developing the educational and scientific potential of the KSE group of companies and contributing to the development of the candidate's professional skills and abilities

    ● Pass an interview with the grant committee
    ● Become a KSE student

  • Grants can be obtained at all bachelor's and master's programs
