Value-based education encourages graduates to challenge traditions, dream big, build visions, and structure the future. Graduates will learn to identify and solve complex problems and challenges in urban development, develop a strategic plan commissioned by the city authorities, and present research results convincingly, both orally and in the form of a written report and data visualization. These skills and values are critical for graduates who want to become effective leaders in their chosen field

Feedback on Studying at KSE

Alina Goncharenko

Student of the Urban Studies and Postwar Reconstruction program

I like the curriculum because it combines many specialized disciplines that are difficult to find separately, even without integration into one course.
It provides a comprehensive view of urbanism and urban planning - from philosophical aspects to economic policies.
What is very valuable is that the program is unique in its approach - it is designed around both global practices and the current context of Ukraine and its reconstruction.
All of the lecturers have extensive experience in their respective fields, and their expertise is beyond doubt.
I would also like to note the dynamic approach to improving the course - the curators constantly analyze student feedback and improve the program in accordance with the recommendations

Ангеліна Татарікова

Student of the Urban Studies and Postwar Reconstruction program

It is the best program for those who want to comprehensively understand cities and learn how to manage urban needs, because each discipline complements a comprehensive understanding of the city and provides practical skills for work.
It's cool that you can combine work and get a quality education at the same time. Moreover, the program's teachers are those who sincerely want you to understand the material and learn how to use it in practice.
Instead of scary exams, group practical projects and individual essays prevail, so you create a portfolio to launch your career.
But if you don't share the value of academic integrity in the slightest, it's better to give up this program and KSE in general

Ілля Ткаченко

Student of the Urban Studies and Postwar Reconstruction program

For me, the main value of the program is a unique opportunity to interact with professionals in the field of urbanism and urban development on a regular basis. This is not just learning, but real networking: industry leaders become mentors, and we, the students, get access to live cases and current issues that the country is working on.

I especially appreciate the openness of the KSE management and the program - they do not just support students' ideas, but create a platform for them to implement them. There is a great emphasis on community: both in the curriculum itself and in the university environment. We don't just talk about participation, we learn how to implement it.

And most importantly, this is a place for those who want to change cities through innovation. If you have ideas, they will be helped to find a way to implement them
