KSE University Has Ukraine’s Highest Average Competitive Score Among 2026 Applicants

Based on the full pool of applications submitted by the deadline, the average score was 174.9 — 6.2 points above the next-highest university.

Applications for Ukraine’s 2026 university admissions campaign have closed. Applicants to KSE University had an average competitive score of 174.9 — the highest among Ukrainian universities, according to the Unified State Electronic Database on Education (EDEBO). The second-highest average was 168.7.

KSE ranks first overall and in every directly comparable field of study. Across the five fields offered by both KSE and Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU), the university with the closest overall average score to KSE, the results are:

• Psychology: 168.2 vs. 162.4 (+5.8)
• Economics: 173.2 vs. 168.1 (+5.1)
• Automation and Robotics: 175.1 vs. 171.2 (+3.9)
• Law: 175.5 vs. 171.8 (+3.7)
• Computer Science: 175.8 vs. 175.0 (+0.8)

Applications alone do not determine the final incoming class. Each applicant may submit up to five applications, which means that the highest-ranked universities are competing for many of the same candidates. The final composition of the incoming class will become clear after state-funded places are allocated and tuition contracts are signed. KSE is currently modeling enrollment outcomes separately for each program.

“KSE has the highest average applicant scores, both program by program and overall. This does not yet guarantee that KSE’s final incoming class will include the strongest students in Ukraine. The possibility is real. We are currently modeling several enrollment scenarios for each program,” — said Tymofiy Mylovanov, President of KSE.

“UCU and Kyiv-Mohyla Academy are our closest and most important peer universities. Choose them or choose us,” — Mylovanov added.

Earlier, students at KSE Product Lab launched the Admissions Calculator, a tool that estimated an applicant’s chances of admission to a specific program at a specific university. Users entered their scores and selected a program to assess how well their application strategy aligned with their goals. The tool allowed applicants to compare universities and programs and weigh state-funded and tuition-paying options.
