Студентки KSE представили Україну на ValUEs Summer School у Roskilde University

З 11 по 15 серпня 2025 року три студентки Київської Школи Економіки стали учасницями ValUEs Summer School у Копенгагені.

ValUEs Summer School — це міжнародна освітня програма, яка об’єднує студентів і викладачів з різних країн Європи задля обговорення сучасних викликів для демократії, європейських цінностей та політичних процесів. Учасники школи працюють над реальними кейсами, беруть участь у дебатах і симуляціях, а також обмінюються культурним досвідом зі студентами з усього світу.

Участь у заході взяли Вікторія Германчук, Анастасія Смик та Наталія Павелко. Приймаючим університетом став Roskilde University, відомий своїм міждисциплінарним підходом до навчання.

Студентка KSE Анастасія Смик поділилася своїми враженнями:

«Для нас трьох ця літня школа стала більше ніж академічним курсом — це був виклик мислити ширше, ніж ми звикли. Ми розбирали політичні кампанії крізь призму дискурсивного аналізу, шукали компроміси в симуляції переговорів, де кожна з нас відчувала напругу «реальної» політики, і досліджували, наскільки крихкими можуть бути європейські цінності у часи політичних криз. Найбільше ж ми відчули, як важливо працювати командою: саме у взаємних дискусіях і сумнівах ми знайшли нову глибину розуміння політики».

Наталія Павелко підкреслила важливість культурного обміну:

«Було надзвичайно цікаво ділитися досвідом і давати одне одному культурні поради. Під час літньої школи ми познайомилися із багатьма неймовірними студентами з різних куточків світу: від Німеччини до Мексики, від Боснії і Герцоговини до США. Найважливішим було почути щирі запитання про наше життя під час війни. Ця щира турбота й прагнення зрозуміти були для нас безцінними. Адже обмін — це насамперед про єдність у наших відмінностях».

А Вікторія Германчук зазначила, що подібний досвід має стратегічне значення для української молоді:

«Літня школа — це унікальна можливість для студентів поглибити свої знання, ефективно використати літній час та встановити нові академічні й культурні контакти. Ми скористалися цією нагодою та переконалися в її цінності. Для української молоді міжнародний досвід подібного рівня є надзвичайно важливим, адже він створює можливість доносити ключові меседжі до світової спільноти та молоді інших країн».

Участь студенток KSE у ValUEs Summer School ще раз підтверджує: міжнародні можливості — один із пріоритетів Київської Школи Економіки. Такі програми дають нові знання, безцінний культурний досвід та формують лідерів, готових змінювати майбутнє країни.

KSE Students Represented Ukraine at ValUEs Summer School at Roskilde University

From August 11 to 15, 2025, three students of the Kyiv School of Economics took part in the ValUEs Summer School in Copenhagen. ValUEs Summer School is an international educational program that brings together students and professors from different European countries to discuss contemporary challenges for democracy, European values, and political processes. Participants of the school work on real case studies, take part in debates and simulations, and exchange cultural experiences with students from all over the world.

The event was attended by Viktoria Hermanchuk, Anastasiia Smyk, and Nataliia Pavelko. The host institution was Roskilde University, known for its interdisciplinary approach to education.

KSE student Anastasiia Smyk shared her impressions:

“For the three of us, this summer school became more than just an academic course — it was a challenge to think broader than we are used to. We analyzed political campaigns through the lens of discourse analysis, searched for compromises in a negotiation simulation where each of us felt the tension of ‘real’ politics, and explored how fragile European values can be in times of political crises. Most of all, we realized how important teamwork is: it was precisely in our mutual discussions and doubts that we discovered a new depth of understanding politics.”

Nataliia Pavelko emphasized the importance of cultural exchange:

“It was extremely interesting to share experiences and give each other cultural advice. During the summer school, we met many incredible students from different corners of the world: from Germany to Mexico, from Bosnia and Herzegovina to the USA. The most important part was hearing sincere questions about our lives during the war. This genuine care and desire to understand were priceless for us. After all, exchange is, above all, about unity in our differences.”

And Viktoria Hermanchuk noted that such experience has strategic significance for Ukrainian youth:

“A summer school is a unique opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge, make effective use of summer time, and establish new academic and cultural connections. We took this chance and were convinced of its value. For Ukrainian youth, international experience of this level is extremely important, as it provides the opportunity to convey key messages to the global community and young people in other countries.”

The participation of KSE students in ValUEs Summer School once again confirms that international opportunities are one of the priorities of the Kyiv School of Economics. Such programs provide new knowledge, invaluable cultural experience, and shape leaders ready to change the future of the country.
